Filming at Harrow

Harrow School has provided the backdrop to many a feature film, drama or photoshoot over the past twenty years. We have provided the location for films such as The Saint, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, The Oxford Murders and Ladies in Lavender. We have hosted dramas such as Lewis, Foyle’s War, Margaret and ‘When Boris Met Dave.’ The School has been the scene of glossy magazine shoots, and the subject of historical documentaries.

We firmly believe in being a film friendly venue, and a location that offers more than just one location. With 260 acres of countryside in North London, and a variety of buildings dating between 1615 and 2011, we have a location for every occasion.

The School has its own unit base (up to 100 cars in size), and is only ten miles from Central London by car, or a fifteen minute ride to Baker Street on the Metropolitan Line from Harrow on the Hill Underground station.

Over the years, we have listened carefully to location managers about what they are looking for. This website is a product of that knowledge, and allows you to browse the locations we have available to you. We have arranged locations by category to help your search. We keep adding locations, so please do check back on a regular basis.

We are a school, so availability is limited, but we do have eighteen weeks a year in which filming can take place. Please see the availability calendar for more information on when we are available.

We hope you choose to film with us. Please take a look at our locations and contact us should you require more information, or wish to conduct a site visit.

“A true multi-shoot, film friendly location with easy access to Central London, Harrow has more to offer than just old buildings. ”
